How to properly prune snapdragon flowers?

I have my front flower bed full of snapdragons. They are now fully bloomed and are approx 24 inches tall. They are starting to overtake the flower bed. Can you explain to me when is the proper time to prune, how or where should I cut on the stem, and how much should I cut them back to help them grown or bloom again faster.

dead head them that encourages new growth if flowers i never prune only new seeds every year, cutting is no problem with these hardy plants
Reply:As your snapdragons bloom, pinch dieing flowers off. Once the bottom 2/3 - 3/4 of the stem has bloomed and died, cut off the whole flower stem to the leaves. If they're already seeding, don't worry, deadhead anyway. As you do, you'll get more and more flower shoots that will bloom into late fall. Report It

Reply:Carefully my dear.
