Do I really need to sow my Larkspur and Snapdragon seeds?

Were making a nice big flower garden this year, and i just bought some larkspur and snapdragon seeds. It says i should sow them inside for 6-8 weeks before planting. But do i need to? I hope its not to late for them. Oh, and frosting is over here. there is no more frost. what should i do with these seeds?

If I were you and if you have the room, start them indoors and transplant them later, maybe even next spring. You don't have to have a greenhouse and it'll give you better success. If you understand seeds, you know that you might not see anything from them until next spring.
Reply:Seeds generally take awhile to grow. If you wanted to start from seed you should have started them, like they said, inside at least a month ago. The growing season is just too short for them to actually get to the flowering stage before fall. You would be better off buying plants at this point and maybe try the seeds next year. There are all kinds of websites to give you info an how and when to start seeds. Different seeds have different times and ways of starting. See below for some good sites. Good luck!
